What We Don't Allow

- Graphic violence or gore intended to shock
- Self-harm or suicide promotion

- Content depicting illegal activities
- Sharing of pirated software, movies, or copyrighted materials
- Malware, phishing, or other malicious content
- Content that violates applicable laws in your jurisdiction
✗ Deceptive Practices
- Creating deepfakes of real people without consent to mislead or harm
- Impersonating others (individuals, brands, or entities)
- Spreading misinformation or disinformation
- Manipulating engagement (fake likes, views, vote manipulation)
- Spam, scams, or fraudulent schemes
✗ Intellectual Property Violations
- Uploading content that infringes others' copyrights
- Using trademarked material without authorization
- Plagiarizing or claiming others' work as your own
✗ Inappropriate Sexual Content
- Pornography or sexually explicit material
- Non-consensual intimate imagery
- Sexual content involving minors (real or AI-generated)
✗ Disruptive Behavior
- Excessive self-promotion or spam
- Trolling, flame wars, or intentionally derailing discussions
- Repeatedly posting off-topic content
- Abusing platform features or attempting to exploit vulnerabilities
AI-Specific Guidelines
Responsible AI Use
- Deepfakes: Do not create misleading deepfakes of real individuals, especially public figures, without clear disclosure
- Consent: When creating AI-generated content depicting real people, ensure you have appropriate permissions
- Ethical Training Data: Be mindful of the ethical implications of AI models trained on copyrighted or sensitive data
- Disclosure: When sharing techniques, be transparent about potential ethical concerns
Handling Controversial AI Content
AI-generated content can sometimes produce unexpected or controversial results. When sharing such content:
- Add appropriate content warnings
- Provide context about why you're sharing it
- Be prepared to engage in thoughtful discussion
- Remove content if it violates these guidelines, even if unintentional
Reporting and Moderation
How to Report
If you see content or behavior that violates these guidelines:
- Click the "Report" button on the content or profile
- Select the type of violation
- Provide a brief description (optional but helpful)
We review all reports promptly and take appropriate action.
What Happens After a Report?
- Our moderation team reviews the report
- If content violates guidelines, we may:
- Remove the content
- Issue a warning to the user
- Temporarily suspend the account
- Permanently ban repeat offenders
- We may not provide specific details about actions taken (privacy reasons)
Appeals
If your content is removed or your account is actioned:
- You'll receive a notification explaining the reason
- You can appeal by contacting [appeals@indiemovies.ai]
- Include your username and explanation
- We'll review appeals within 7 business days
Enforcement
Warning System
- First Violation: Warning and content removal
- Second Violation: Temporary suspension (7 days)
- Third Violation: Permanent account termination
Serious violations (illegal content, threats, child safety) may result in immediate permanent ban without warning.
Our Discretion
We reserve the right to:
- Remove content or accounts at our discretion
- Make exceptions for educational, artistic, or documentary purposes (with context)
- Update these guidelines as the community and technology evolve
Content Ownership Reminder
You own all rights to your content. By uploading to IndieMoves.ai:
- You retain full ownership of your work
- You grant us a license only to display and operate the platform
- You can delete your content at any time
